Job Description
The position of PGT History Teacher at Supreme Public School in Jind, Haryana, seeks an experienced educator to inspire students with a deep understanding of historical events and their significance. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging history lessons covering ancient, medieval, and contemporary Indian and global history. Develop lesson plans that integrate multimedia, discussions, and real-world applications to enhance student comprehension. Assess student progress through continuous evaluation, including projects, exams, and practical assignments, ensuring alignment with the school’s academic goals.
Teach history at the postgraduate level, including advanced topics like Indian freedom struggle, colonial history, and modern political developments. Collaborate with the history department to update textbooks, research resources, and educational tools to meet evolving curriculum requirements. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies, curriculum updates, and student performance trends.
Qualification
Hold a postgraduate degree in History or an equivalent subject with a strong academic background. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to qualify for a permanent teaching position in Haryana. Secure TET or CTET certification to enhance credibility and teaching rights in government and private schools.
Experience
Prove at least two years of teaching experience in history at the senior secondary or postgraduate level. Demonstrate expertise in designing interactive lessons, managing classroom dynamics, and motivating students to explore historical themes deeply. Experience with digital learning tools and educational technology will be an added advantage.
Compensation
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 38,000 to Rs. 50,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The role offers a full-time contract with benefits including a performance-based allowance and opportunities for professional growth within the institution.
