PGT Economics Teacher Position at Silver Oak International School, Kaithal
Silver Oak International School in Kaithal seeks a dedicated PGT Economics Teacher to inspire and guide students with a strong foundation in macro and microeconomic principles. This role requires a passionate educator who can simplify complex economic theories while fostering critical thinking and analytical skills among high school students.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging economics lessons aligned with the school curriculum. This includes covering topics like supply and demand, economic systems, and global trade, ensuring students grasp real-world applications. You will also assess student performance through continuous evaluation, providing constructive feedback to help them excel. Curriculum development is key—you’ll collaborate with the academic team to refine lesson plans and incorporate modern teaching methods. Regular parent-teacher interactions will help address student concerns and align academic goals with family expectations.
Teaching extra-curricular economics clubs or workshops will enhance students’ interest in the subject. You’ll maintain updated teaching resources, including textbooks, case studies, and digital tools, to support diverse learning needs. Attendance at professional development workshops will keep your teaching methods current and effective. Ensuring classroom discipline while maintaining a supportive learning environment is also part of your role.
The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in Economics with at least four years of teaching experience, preferably in a similar academic setting. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory, along with a strong command of the English language for effective communication. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an added advantage. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month, along with a conducive work environment in Kaithal, Haryana.
