About Mother Teresa Convent School | Karnal

When I first imagined a school for the children of Indri, Garhi Gujran and the surrounding villages of Karnal, I wanted a place where learning felt as natural as a conversation at the kitchen table. In 2005 the Mangalmay Educational Trust gave that vision a home, and Mother Teresa Convent School opened its doors on the quiet stretch of Indri Road. From the very first day, we have been guided by the motto “We Care Like Mother — Learn • Succeed • Lead.” It is more than a slogan; it is a promise to treat every student with the patience and encouragement a mother offers, while also challenging them to think, explore and take responsibility for their own growth.

Our campus now serves boys and girls from Nursery through Grade XII, all following the CBSE curriculum. The academic programme balances the rigor of core subjects with the flexibility needed to nurture curiosity. Teachers receive regular training that reflects current pedagogical practice, ensuring that lessons are not merely about covering a syllabus but about making connections that stay with the learner. The school’s modern classrooms, well‑stocked laboratories and a library that houses both textbooks and stories from around the world support this approach, while our annual exhibitions and experiential learning events give students a chance to apply what they have studied in real‑life contexts.

Because many of our families travel from the outskirts of Karnal, we have organized a multi‑route transport system that brings children safely from villages such as Indri, Badhra and Nahan. The school also reaches out beyond its walls through community programs that invite parents and neighbours to participate in workshops and cultural gatherings. In every corner of our campus, from the playground where students rehearse a school play to the quiet study area where a quiet child revises for board exams, you will find the same underlying belief: education should be rooted in solid values, delivered with compassion, and aimed at preparing our young people to lead with confidence in the world that awaits them.
