Role Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced PGT Biology Teacher to join our team. As a PGT Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Biology to students from grade 11 and 12. You will also be required to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and provide feedback to improve student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities
* Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding
* Provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues to improve student outcomes
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes and departmental plans
* Participate in school-wide initiatives and events to promote academic excellence and community engagement
* Conduct research and professional development to stay updated with best practices in Biology teaching
* Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results
* Supervise and mentor junior teachers to develop their teaching skills and confidence
* Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to discussions on curriculum development and implementation
* Provide support to students with special needs and learning difficulties
Who Can Apply
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
* Postgraduate degree in Biology or a related field
* B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree
* CTET or TET certification (preferable)
* Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a recognized school or educational institution
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation
