Plan and execute geography lessons that align with the CBSE curriculum, ensuring students grasp concepts like physical geography, human geography, and environmental studies. Incorporate interactive methods like group projects, field trips, and multimedia presentations to enhance learning outcomes.
Hold regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and collaborate on academic strategies. Maintain a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation for Earth’s diverse systems.
Ensure proper documentation of student performance, attendance, and discipline as per school policies. Assist in organizing school events related to geography, such as science fairs or awareness campaigns on climate change.
Qualified candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Geography or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. Two years of teaching experience in geography or a relevant subject is mandatory. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly beneficial for career advancement.
