Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct daily PE classes, ensuring age-appropriate activities like running drills, team sports, and fitness exercises. Supervise students during recess and extracurricular sports events to maintain safety and fair play. Collaborate with class teachers to integrate physical education into the broader curriculum, aligning with school policies. Prepare and maintain well-organized equipment and facilities for smooth class execution.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and review annual PE curriculum plans, incorporating modern training methods and sports science principles. Assess student progress through practical evaluations, games, and performance metrics, providing constructive feedback. Organize inter-house sports competitions and tournaments to encourage healthy competition and team spirit. Act as a mentor to students, encouraging participation in school sports clubs and extracurricular activities.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend school-level workshops or training sessions to stay updated on teaching methods and sports innovations. Review and update PE lesson plans based on student feedback and performance trends. Ensure compliance with school safety protocols during outdoor activities and sports events.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Physical Education or a related field along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in Physical Education, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, a valid teaching license would be an asset. Strong communication skills and a track record of motivating students are essential.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 60,000 per month, along with the opportunity to work in a vibrant educational environment in Pehowa, Kurukshetra, Haryana.
