Job Description
Sd Sr. Sec. School invites a passionate History Teacher to join as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) for its History department. This role focuses on delivering high-quality education in the subject, aligning with national curriculum standards. Teaching Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging History lessons for classes 9 to 12, ensuring alignment with the CBSE curriculum. Develop innovative teaching methods that make historical concepts accessible and relevant to students. Utilize visual aids, interactive discussions, and real-world examples to enhance learning outcomes.
Subject Expertise
Demonstrate deep knowledge of Indian history, including ancient, medieval, and modern periods, with particular emphasis on regional and local history. Stay updated on recent historical research and educational reforms in the field. Prepare comprehensive lesson plans that integrate historical themes with contemporary social issues.
School Environment
Collaborate closely with the History department faculty to create a cohesive curriculum and teaching approach. Participate in school events, including history-related competitions and exhibitions, to foster student interest. Maintain strong communication with parents regarding student progress and historical learning achievements.
Qualification
Hold a postgraduate degree in History or a related discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Experience in teaching History at the secondary level is essential. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position.
Experience
Proven teaching experience of at least two years in a school setting, preferably in History or a related subject. Familiarity with assessment techniques and student evaluation methods is advantageous. Experience in developing and implementing lesson plans is required.
Compensation
The selected candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 70,000, along with other benefits as per school policy. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' understanding of India's rich historical heritage.
Additional Duties
Assist in organizing field trips and educational visits related to history, such as visits to historical sites and museums. Prepare and maintain subject-specific records and reports for academic monitoring. Act as a mentor to junior teachers or teaching assistants in History when necessary.
