Role Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Biology lessons to students. They will utilize a range of teaching methods, including practical experiments, group discussions, and hands-on activities, to facilitate learning. Our Biology Teacher will also make use of digital resources and educational software to enhance the learning experience.
What You Will Do (8 duties specific to Biology teaching)
1. Plan and deliver Biology lessons to students in Grades 9 to 12.
2. Prepare and conduct practical experiments and activities to facilitate learning.
3. Guide students in conducting scientific investigations and analyzing data.
4. Use digital resources and educational software to enhance the learning experience.
5. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
6. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
7. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
8. Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects.
Eligibility Criteria (Biology-specific degrees and certifications)
To be eligible for the position, candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in Biology (M.Sc.) or a related field. A B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree is also mandatory. TET/CTET certification is not required but is preferred.
Preferred Skills (Biology-specific competencies)
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. They will also have a strong understanding of Biology concepts and be able to apply them in a practical and engaging manner.
