Science (PRT) Vacancy in Panchkula, Haryana
Dass and Brown School
Job Description
Institution Environment
Dass And Brown School sits on a green campus in Sector 15, Panchkula, where teachers gather under the big neem tree at break to plan experiments for the next week. The science wing buzzes after class with small groups of students measuring pH strips or sketching plant cells on the terrace garden tables. New colleagues are quickly pulled into the Friday afternoon demo prep sessions, where last year’s Class VI volcano now shares space with this year’s homemade spectroscopes.
About This Role
The PRT Science Teacher vacancy in Panchkula is open for a graduate with three years of classroom experience and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed. You will anchor the middle-school science programme for Grades VI–VIII, ensuring every child leaves the lab with a working knowledge of acids, cells and simple machines. Dass And Brown School expects you to translate the NCERT curriculum into hands-on activities that fit Panchkula’s monsoon and winter timetable.
Day-To-Day Duties
Plan weekly practicals using locally available materials like lemon juice, plastic bottles and cardboard to keep costs low.
Conduct 45-minute science classes that include a five-minute starter quiz, a 20-minute activity and a 10-minute wrap-up discussion.
Maintain the science corner in each classroom, restocking test tubes, magnets and safety goggles every Monday.
Organise monthly science fairs where students from neighbouring mohallas display their projects and parents are invited.
Collaborate with the math and English teams to create cross-subject projects such as measuring growth rates or writing lab reports.
Mark notebooks on the same evening to give timely feedback and keep the assessment load light.
Attend weekly grade-level meetings in the staff room to align experiments with upcoming unit tests.
Coordinate with the lab assistant to ensure gas cylinders, microscopes and chemicals are ready before each period.
Who Can Apply
Graduates with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed and at least three years of teaching science to Classes VI–VIII can apply for the Science Teacher job in Panchkula. TET/CTET is preferred but not mandatory; what matters is a track record of engaging students with everyday science. Experience in CBSE schools or similar co-educational setups is an advantage.
Perks and Pay
The Science Teacher recruitment in Haryana offers a fixed monthly package between Rs.25,000 and Rs.45,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Dass And Brown School provides an annual textbook allowance, free access to the staff bus between Panchkula and Chandigarh, and a small science-resource grant for classroom projects.
