Day-To-Day Duties
Plan weekly practicals using locally available materials like lemon juice, plastic bottles and cardboard to keep costs low.
Conduct 45-minute science classes that include a five-minute starter quiz, a 20-minute activity and a 10-minute wrap-up discussion.
Maintain the science corner in each classroom, restocking test tubes, magnets and safety goggles every Monday.
Organise monthly science fairs where students from neighbouring mohallas display their projects and parents are invited.
Collaborate with the math and English teams to create cross-subject projects such as measuring growth rates or writing lab reports.
Mark notebooks on the same evening to give timely feedback and keep the assessment load light.
Attend weekly grade-level meetings in the staff room to align experiments with upcoming unit tests.
Coordinate with the lab assistant to ensure gas cylinders, microscopes and chemicals are ready before each period.
