About Bkn Public School | Meham

When I first walked along the stretch of NH‑09 that cuts through Kharkara‑Meham, I saw more than a road; I saw a line that could connect our children to opportunities far beyond the fields and farms that surround us. That vision guided the founding of B.K.N. Public Senior Secondary School in 2009 under the Baba Khyali Nath Shiksha Samiti. From the very beginning, the aim has been simple: to give the boys and girls of Meham, Rohtak, and the neighbouring villages a school where English‑medium instruction meets the standards of the Central Board of Secondary Education, while still respecting the values of our community.

Our school is co‑educational and open to students from pre‑nursery through class XII. We welcome children whose families work the land, run small shops, or serve in local businesses, and we strive to make sure that every child, regardless of background, finds a place where curiosity is encouraged and effort is recognized. The corridors echo with the voices of learners who come from the villages of Kharkara, Meham, and the surrounding semi‑urban belt, each bringing a unique perspective that enriches our classroom discussions.

Academically we follow the CBSE curriculum, offering the three main streams—Science, Commerce and Arts—at the senior secondary level. Our team of fifty‑five teachers, many of whom hold postgraduate qualifications, designs lessons that balance textbook rigor with real‑world applications. Science labs, a well‑stocked library, and regular excursions are part of a routine that aims to turn abstract concepts into experiences students can relate to. Alongside the core subjects, we place equal importance on physical education, arts, and life‑skill workshops so that our students leave the school not only prepared for university exams but also equipped to think critically and act responsibly.

Every April, as the academic session begins, I look around the campus on the Rohtak‑Hisar Road and feel a quiet pride. The school is more than a building; it is a place where families have entrusted us with their hopes, and where we, under the guidance of Chairman Ashok Rathee and our dedicated staff, work each day to honor that trust. If you call us at the numbers listed or write to bknps2009@gmail.com, you will hear the same conviction that has driven us for more than a decade: education rooted in our locality, reaching out to the wider world, and always keeping the student’s growth at its heart.
