About Shri Baba Mastnath Public School | Rohtak

When a child first steps through the gates of Shri Baba Mastnath Public School on Civil Road, the buzz of the morning assembly is as much a welcome as the scent of fresh cut grass that borders the campus near ChhotuRam Park. The school, founded in 1987 by Brahmleen Mahent Chand Nath Ji Yogi, feels like a small community within Rohtak. The first weeks are spent learning the rhythm of the day—lining up for the national anthem, listening to the principal’s calm voice, and meeting teachers who introduce themselves not just as instructors but as mentors. In those early months the classrooms, bright and filled with posters of both scientific formulas and Sanskrit verses, convey the school’s promise that modern learning can sit comfortably alongside traditional values.

As the years pass, the academic environment tightens its focus. The English‑medium instruction follows the CBSE curriculum, and the teachers—many of whom have been with the school for decades—bring a blend of rigor and patience that pushes students to ask questions beyond the textbook. In the middle grades, a student discovers the rhythm of laboratory work in the well‑equipped science labs, the disciplined practice of mathematics in the chalk‑filled rooms, and the lively debates that spill over from the auditorium into the open courtyard. By the time senior secondary arrives, the choice of science or commerce streams feels like a natural progression rather than a forced decision; the guidance counselors, who remember each child’s first day, help map out pathways toward medical, engineering, or business aspirations.

Beyond the classroom, the school’s role in Rohtak’s educational landscape becomes evident. As a member of the local Sahodaya Group, SMPS regularly hosts inter‑school competitions that draw participants from across Haryana, and its teams in public speaking, quizzing and sports often travel to national tournaments. The presence of a sister residential campus in Asthal Bohar along the Delhi‑Rohtak Road adds another dimension, allowing students from nearby villages to experience the same blend of modern academics and cultural grounding. Over two thousand students now walk the same corridors that once echoed with the footsteps of the school’s first batch, each carrying forward the motto “Knowledge makes a man immortal” in their own way.

When graduation day arrives, the sense of continuity is striking. Former teachers stand on the stage, their faces a familiar backdrop to the journey that began in nursery and culminated in the final exams. Alumni return, some now doctors, engineers, or entrepreneurs, to speak about how the school
