Role Summary
Dev Rishi Sr Sec School Sonepat invites applications for a full-time PGT Political Science Teacher position. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Political Science to senior secondary students. The role requires a postgraduate degree in Political Science or a related subject, along with a B.Ed./D.El.Ed. and a minimum of 4 years of teaching experience.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Teach Political Science to senior secondary students
2. Prepare and deliver lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations
3. Develop and implement engaging and interactive teaching methods
4. Mark and provide feedback on student assessments and assignments
5. Conduct parent-teacher meetings and communicate with parents
6. Participate in school meetings, workshops, and professional development programs
7. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
8. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school policies
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
- Postgraduate degree in Political Science or a related subject
- B.Ed./D.El.Ed. degree
- Minimum 4 years of teaching experience
Good to Have:
- CTET/TET certification
- Experience teaching senior secondary students
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Political Science curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
