Psychology (PGT) Vacancy in Sirsa, Sonipat, Haryana
Gyan Ganga Global School
Job Description
About This Role
Gyan Ganga Global School believes every learner deserves a classroom where curiosity about the human mind meets structured guidance. The PGT Psychology Teacher will design and deliver lessons that build analytical thinking while respecting diverse learning paces across Sirsa and Sonipat. This role requires adapting content for students who arrive with varying exposure to psychology concepts.
Your Students
In Sonipat, Gyan Ganga Global School serves adolescents from different socio-economic backgrounds, many encountering formal psychology for the first time. Some students grasp abstract theories quickly, while others need concrete examples to connect concepts to daily life. The Psychology Teacher must create inclusive spaces where first-generation learners and experienced readers feel equally challenged and supported.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with CBSE psychology syllabus for Classes XI and XII, including activities that encourage self-reflection and group discussions. Use differentiated worksheets so that students with different reading levels can access the same core ideas without frustration.
Conduct formative assessments every two weeks through short quizzes and reflective journals to track conceptual clarity rather than rote memorisation. Organise guest sessions with local counsellors so students see psychology applied beyond textbooks.
Maintain a resource corner with case studies, TED talks, and newspaper clippings to make theories relatable to Sonipat’s urban-rural mix. Collaborate with subject teachers to embed psychology examples in biology and sociology projects.
Provide individualised feedback on assignments within 48 hours and schedule weekly doubt-clearing slots during zero period. Support students preparing for competitive exams by sharing past question trends and time-management strategies.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Psychology from a recognised university with minimum 55% aggregate. B.Ed or D.El.Ed from NCTE-recognised institution is mandatory; TET/CTET will be an added advantage. One year of teaching or tutoring experience in senior secondary psychology is preferred.
What Makes You a Fit
Patience to explain cognitive theories to students who struggle with abstract language, patience that turns confusion into clarity. Strong communication skills to translate complex studies like Milgram’s obedience experiments into everyday language without losing academic rigour.
Experience designing inclusive assessments that measure understanding rather than memory, experience that builds confidence in hesitant learners. Familiarity with digital tools like Google Classroom or Kahoot for interactive lessons in Sonipat classrooms.
Perks and Pay
Gyan Ganga Global School offers a full-time salary between Rs.40,000 and Rs.80,000 per month based on experience and qualifications. The package includes government-mandated allowances and access to in-house professional development workshops on inclusive pedagogy.
