Job Description
Teach Biology to students in classes 9 to 12, ensuring alignment with the CBSE curriculum and state board syllabus. Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate real-world applications of biological concepts, making them relatable to young learners.
Conduct practical sessions in labs, including dissections, experiments, and data analysis, while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. Prepare and maintain well-organized lab manuals and equipment records to support hands-on learning.
Assess students through continuous evaluation, including weekly tests, project work, and practical examinations, using standardized grading criteria. Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding and performance.
Engage with students individually and in groups to address their doubts and encourage critical thinking about biological phenomena. Collaborate with the biology department to update teaching methods and resources based on feedback and emerging educational trends.
Prepare and deliver interactive lectures, using visual aids like slides, videos, and demonstrations to enhance comprehension. Keep records of student progress and communicate key achievements or areas needing improvement to parents and school authorities.
Eligibility for the TGT Biology Teacher Position
Hold a postgraduate degree in Biology or a related subject with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Possess a valid teaching certificate such as TET or CTET, though not mandatory for this role.
Gain at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in schools with a focus on science education. Demonstrate strong subject knowledge, including up-to-date understanding of biological theories and scientific advancements.
