Daily responsibilities include conducting engaging classroom sessions on core Computer Science topics such as Python, Java, and web technologies. Assisting students with their projects and assignments is also a key part of the day-to-day work. Keeping students motivated and ensuring they grasp fundamental concepts efficiently is essential.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle involve collaborating with the curriculum team to integrate technology-based learning activities. You will participate in regular faculty meetings to discuss teaching methodologies and student progress. Assessing student performance through quizzes, assignments, and practical evaluations is also part of your ongoing duties. Ensuring that the Computer Science lab remains well-equipped and functional is another recurring responsibility.
Periodic responsibilities include organizing workshops or seminars on emerging trends in Computer Science, such as AI and machine learning. You may also conduct parent-teacher interactions to discuss student performance and areas needing improvement. Preparing annual progress reports for students and updating the school’s teaching resources is another important task.
To qualify for this TGT Computer Science Teacher position, a postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory for teaching roles. Two years of teaching experience in Computer Science or related subjects is preferred.
