Physical Education (TGT) Vacancy in Sonipat, Haryana
Greenwood Public School Bohla, Sonipat
Job Description
School Culture
Greenwood Public School Bohla, Sonipat sits on the edge of the city where the morning mist still lingers over the playgrounds. Teachers here share a quiet pride in the fact that every child leaves the campus with a visible sense of progress—whether it is the way a shy student finally holds a cricket bat or the confident sprint of a girl who once hesitated on the track. The staff room is small but loud with sports stories, lesson swaps and the occasional tiffin-box negotiation in Haryani. Newcomers are folded into this rhythm quickly; by the first week you are expected to know the names of the volleyball team captain as well as the science lab assistant.
Role Summary
The TGT Physical Education Teacher Vacancy in Sonipat is for a full-time role responsible for planning, delivering and assessing physical education lessons for classes 6 to 10 at Greenwood Public School Bohla, Sonipat. You will create age-appropriate fitness circuits, lead inter-house tournaments and integrate health education into daily drills. Your work will be reviewed through informal observations and student fitness logs rather than rigid checklists.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan weekly lesson cycles that balance athletics, yoga and recreational games for three sections per grade.
Conduct early-morning warm-ups and post-lunch cooldown sessions in the open ground behind the school.
Organize monthly inter-house tournaments in kabaddi, kho-kho and athletics and maintain score sheets in Hindi and English.
Set up obstacle courses using minimal equipment—ropes, cones and benches—and rotate stations every 15 minutes to keep energy high.
Collaborate with the yoga teacher to embed breathing drills for exam-stressed students in Classes 9 and 10.
Track individual fitness improvements through simple before-and-after measurements of speed, flexibility and endurance.
Communicate progress to parents during PTMs using visual charts and WhatsApp groups in Hindi.
Attend weekly subject-group meetings in the staff room to align lesson plans with upcoming school events.
Required Qualifications
Post-graduate degree in Physical Education or Sports Science from a recognized Indian university.
Minimum one year of classroom teaching or coaching experience in a school setting.
Preference for candidates with B.Ed or M.Ed in Physical Education; NET/SET qualified individuals will be given additional consideration.
Experience in organizing district-level tournaments or summer camps in Haryana will be an advantage.
Fluency in Hindi and English; ability to explain drills in simple Haryani when needed.
Work Culture
At Greenwood Public School Bohla, Sonipat, the Physical Education Teacher Recruitment in Haryana is not about whistle-blowing alone—it is about being part of a culture that values sweat and scholarship equally. You will share the staff room with colleagues who treat the annual Sports Day as seriously as the final examinations. The principal walks the track every Wednesday morning; your presence and punctuality set the tone for the entire department. Parents drop by the ground after 4 p.m. to watch practice, so expect spontaneous conversations in Hindi about diet and discipline. The school provides basic kits—whistles, stopwatches and a couple of volleyball nets—but resourcefulness is part of the job.
What You Get
A fixed monthly salary between Rs.20,000 and Rs.30,000, paid on the last working day of the month.
Free access to the school gym and swimming pool during off-school hours.
Reimbursement for approved sports kits and participation in two external training workshops per year.
Canteen meals at subsidized rates and free tea twice daily in the staff room.
