Reporting and scope
Reports to the Head of English Department and collaborates with senior teachers to maintain academic standards.
Core duties
Lesson planning and delivery for English language and literature, ensuring alignment with state guidelines.
Assessment and feedback: design quizzes, projects, and exams, providing constructive marks and progress reports.
Classroom management: create a positive learning environment, encourage participation, and address diverse learning needs.
Curriculum support: contribute to syllabus updates, integrate modern teaching aids, and participate in faculty meetings.
Student development: mentor students for competitions, debates, and writing contests, and guide them in improving communication skills.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in English or related field, B.Ed or D.El.Ed required.
Minimum 4 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
TET or CTET certification preferred, though not mandatory.
Strong command of English grammar, literature, and contemporary teaching methodologies.
Compensation and location
Full‑time position based in Nurpur, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.
Salary range: Rs.25,000 – Rs.35,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
