PGT Economics Teacher Position at Shivalik School, Una

The ideal candidate will design and deliver engaging lessons while fostering analytical thinking among students.
Teaching duties include:
- Conducting economics classes for grades 9–12, covering macro and microeconomics, trade policies, and financial literacy.
- Developing and implementing lesson plans, worksheets, and practical assignments to reinforce theoretical concepts.
- Assessing student performance through exams, projects, and continuous evaluation to track progress.
- Collaborating with the economics faculty to share best practices and curriculum improvements.
- Preparing students for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, and state-level entrance tests where relevant.
The role also involves mentoring students individually or in small groups to address academic challenges and encourage critical inquiry. The teacher must maintain a structured yet interactive teaching style, ensuring students grasp complex economic theories through real-world examples.
Qualified candidates with a postgraduate degree in Economics and at least two years of teaching experience are invited to apply. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory for this role, it is highly beneficial. The monthly salary for this position is Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 60,000. Full-time employment is offered.
