Job Description
What is this role?
Shivalik School in Amb, Una, Himachal Pradesh is hiring a full‑time PGT History Teacher. The position involves teaching History to senior secondary students and contributing to the school’s academic environment.
What will I actually do?
You will plan and deliver engaging History lessons for classes XI and XII, covering Indian and World history as per the NCERT syllabus. Preparing lesson plans, conducting assessments, and providing feedback to students are key tasks. You will also mentor students for board examinations, organize history‑related projects, and participate in departmental meetings and school events.
What do I need to qualify?
A postgraduate degree in History or a related discipline is essential. You must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification, and possession of a TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
What experience is expected?
At least two years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level is required. Experience in handling board exam preparations and using modern teaching aids will be advantageous.

The salary offered ranges from Rs.35,000 to Rs.60,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
