Prepare and maintain lesson plans tailored to different grade levels. Ensure classroom safety and maintain a structured yet fun learning environment.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update the school’s music curriculum, ensuring alignment with state education board guidelines. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects, such as school events or cultural festivals. Participate in school activities like talent shows, music festivals, and parent-teacher meetings to promote engagement. Assess students’ progress through observations, quizzes, and performance evaluations.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend regular faculty meetings to discuss music teaching strategies and curriculum improvements. Organize occasional workshops or guest sessions with professional musicians to enhance student learning. Ensure all school music resources, such as instruments and recordings, are well-maintained and accessible.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a background in music education. Possess a TET/CTET certificate for better qualification. Have at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting. Strong knowledge of Indian classical and folk music is a plus. Must be proficient in teaching both vocal and instrumental methods.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.12,000 to Rs.25,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is based in Amb, Una, Himachal Pradesh, with full-time employment.
