PRT English Teacher Job in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh | School Recruitment
The reality of this role
Teaching English at Era International School means handling classes from Grades 1 to 5, planning lessons that keep young learners engaged, and making sure every student understands grammar and vocabulary in a simple way. You will correct notebooks daily, conduct short tests every week, and prepare students for school-level English fests and competitions. Classroom management is key because children at this age need clear routines and gentle reminders.
What you will actually do
Prepare lesson plans for English grammar, writing, and reading as per the CBSE pattern followed by Era International School.
Take daily English periods for one primary section and cover all language skills—listening, speaking, reading, writing.
Set weekly spelling tests and conduct short dictation exercises to improve writing speed and accuracy.
Organize English storytelling sessions once a week to build listening skills and spoken fluency.
Grade notebooks and worksheets within 24 hours and give feedback on handwriting and sentence formation.
Assist during morning assembly by preparing a short English rhyme or thought for students twice a month.
Coordinate with the primary coordinator to align English activities with school events like Annual Day and Sports Day.
Attend monthly staff meetings and share student progress reports with parents during PTMs.
Who can do this job
A graduate in English or Education from a recognized university with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed is required. Experience of at least two years as a PRT English Teacher in an Indian school is essential. TET or CTET is preferred but not mandatory for this English Teacher Job in Anantapur.
