PRT Social Science Teacher Position at Samskar International School in Srikakulam
Samskar International School invites applications for the role of Primary Teacher (PRT) in Social Science for its Srikakulam campus. Responsibilities
Teach Social Science subjects to students in Classes I to V, ensuring age-appropriate learning through practical examples and real-world connections. Collaborate with the curriculum team to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning needs and assess student progress using structured evaluation techniques.
Prepare classroom materials, including visual aids, maps, and project-based activities, to enhance understanding of historical events and geographical concepts. Attend departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies and share innovative approaches for improving student engagement. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and participation in extracurricular Social Science activities.
Engage with parents through regular communication to support their children’s academic growth in Social Science. Participate in school events, such as cultural fairs or awareness campaigns, to promote subject interest among students. Ensure compliance with school policies on discipline, safety, and professional conduct while fostering a respectful classroom environment.
Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Possession of TET/CTET certification is a strong advantage but not mandatory for this role. Demonstrate a passion for Social Science education with a focus on making complex topics accessible to younger learners.
Experience
A minimum of two years of teaching experience at the primary level, preferably in Social Science or a related subject. Experience working with diverse student backgrounds and adapting teaching methods for inclusive classrooms is highly valued. Familiarity with Andhra Pradesh’s social and historical context will be beneficial for curriculum alignment.
Salary and Employment
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.18,000 to Rs.35,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, permanent position with Samskar International School in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh.
