The reality of this role
Teaching Mathematics at St . Xaviers + 2 Academy means handling classes from VI to VIII every day. You will plan lessons that make algebra and geometry feel less abstract for students aged 11–14. The school follows the CBSE pattern, so your lesson plans must align with that framework.
What you will actually do
Prepare daily lesson plans for three Mathematics periods and two prep slots.
Create practice worksheets with 10–15 problems per topic for quick revision.
Conduct weekly tests of 20 marks each and give feedback within 48 hours.
Organize a monthly Mathematics club where students solve puzzles and riddles.
Attend staff meetings every Friday to coordinate with other PRTs.
Help with mid-year and end-year exam invigilation and paper evaluation.
Maintain neat attendance and grade registers for Mathematics classes.
Prepare simple teaching aids using locally available materials like cardboard and threads.
Who can do this job
Graduation in Mathematics or a related subject with at least 50% marks.
Two years of Mathematics teaching experience at the middle-school level.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution.
