Position summary
Colonels Academy seeks a dedicated PRT Mathematics Teacher to join its Katihar campus. The role focuses on delivering engaging mathematics instruction to secondary students while fostering a supportive learning environment. Candidates will contribute to curriculum development and student assessment in line with state guidelines.
Reporting and scope
The teacher reports directly to the Head of Mathematics Department.
Core duties
Instructional delivery: Plan and teach mathematics lessons for classes 6 to 10, ensuring clarity of concepts and application of problem‑solving techniques.
Assessment and feedback: Design formative and summative assessments, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate student records.
Curriculum support: Collaborate with peers to align lesson plans with the state syllabus and integrate technology where appropriate.
Student mentorship: Offer guidance to students preparing for board examinations, including doubt‑solving sessions and study material preparation.
Professional development: Attend workshops and training sessions to stay updated on best practices in mathematics education.
Qualification and experience
Graduate degree required; B.Ed or D.El.Ed preferred. Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting. TET/CTET certification is a plus but not mandatory.
Knowledge of modern teaching aids and digital tools for mathematics instruction is desirable.
Compensation and location
Full‑time position at Colonels Academy, Katihar, Bihar. Salary range Rs.15,000 – Rs.22,000 per month.
