Maintaining a safe and well-equipped science lab is crucial, so you’ll oversee equipment maintenance, inventory, and safety protocols. Collaborating with other teachers to integrate science topics into interdisciplinary projects will also be essential. You’ll document student progress, update records, and participate in parent-teacher interactions to support academic growth. Assisting in extracurricular science clubs or competitions will help broaden students’ scientific interests. Ensuring compliance with school policies on discipline, attendance, and classroom management is non-negotiable. You’ll also contribute to staff meetings, curriculum discussions, and professional development workshops to enhance teaching practices. Keeping up with educational trends and adapting teaching strategies to meet evolving student needs will be key to your role.
To qualify, you must hold a graduate degree in Science with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Three years of teaching experience, preferably in a science-related field, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an added advantage. The monthly salary for this position will range from Rs.18,000 to Rs.30,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
