Responsibilities
- Conduct one‑on‑one counseling sessions with students to assess strengths, interests and academic progress.
- Organize career workshops, college fairs and aptitude test preparations for senior classes.
- Maintain accurate student counseling records and generate periodic reports for school management.
- Liaise with parents, teachers and external education consultants to address student concerns and provide timely advice.
- Develop and update counseling materials, brochures and digital resources for the school community.
- Monitor student attendance, performance trends and intervene proactively to reduce dropout risk.
- Assist the administration in formulating policies related to student assessment, promotion and special education needs.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall academic development strategy of the school.
Qualification
Must Have
- Graduate degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in academic counseling, student services or related educational administration.
Good to Have
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
- TET/CTET certification is an added advantage.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with students, parents and staff.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret academic data and suggest improvement plans.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with school management software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple counseling programs simultaneously.
Salary and location
