Strategic responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Political Science lessons for Classes 11 and 12, aligning with CBSE frameworks and local board expectations.
Design assessments that test analytical skills and prepare students for competitive exams and board assessments.
Organize Model United Nations simulations, debates, and inter-school competitions to build real-world civic engagement.
Collaborate with the Social Science team to integrate current affairs, constitutional studies, and electoral processes.
Mentor junior teachers and student interns in pedagogy and classroom management specific to Political Science.
Contribute to textbook selection, resource procurement, and digital content development for the subject.
Attend academic forums, NCERT workshops, and CBSE subject-specific training to stay updated.
Report directly to the Principal on academic progress, exam outcomes, and departmental needs.
Initiate parent-teacher sessions focused on student civic participation and career guidance in law and public administration.
What you bring
Postgraduate degree in Political Science with B.Ed is mandatory; M.A. with 55% minimum is preferred.
Minimum two years of full-time teaching experience in a senior secondary school setting.
Familiarity with CBSE Political Science syllabus and familiarity with regional political dynamics is an advantage.
Experience in leading departmental initiatives or mentoring peers will be considered favourably.
