Role
The PRT English Teacher will be responsible for teaching English grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension in a classroom setting. Daily activities include conducting grammar exercises, reading aloud, and encouraging students to express themselves through writing and speaking. The teacher will also prepare students for state-level assessments like TET/CTET, ensuring they meet academic benchmarks. Collaboration with fellow teachers and school management will help refine teaching strategies to better support student learning.
Responsibilities
Teaching hours will be from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with flexibility for extra-curricular activities such as English clubs or literary competitions. The PRT will create simple yet effective teaching aids like flashcards, worksheets, and storybooks to enhance classroom engagement. Regular parent-teacher interactions will be essential to monitor progress and address any learning gaps. The role also includes maintaining a well-organized classroom environment and ensuring all students feel included, especially those from rural backgrounds.
Qualification
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with a graduate degree in English or a related field. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills in English and a passion for nurturing young minds are key requirements. Experience in teaching English to children aged 6-12 years will be highly valued.
Experience
A minimum of two years of teaching experience in a school setting is required. Familiarity with CBSE or state curriculum guidelines for English is beneficial. Experience with inclusive teaching methods, particularly for students from diverse backgrounds, is an asset. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to making English lessons both fun and educational for Balrampur’s students.
Compensation
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 15,000, along with allowances for travel and stationery as per school policy.
