Daily Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain well-organized lesson plans that incorporate modern teaching methods like demonstrations, experiments, and interactive discussions. Assess student understanding through quizzes, projects, and continuous evaluation, providing timely feedback to guide their learning. Collaborate with the science faculty to integrate interdisciplinary learning, such as connecting biology with environmental studies or technology.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update the biology curriculum to reflect the latest syllabus and pedagogical trends, ensuring alignment with state education boards. Supervise student lab activities and safety protocols, ensuring all experiments are conducted under controlled and secure conditions. Participate in school-wide academic events, including science fairs, competitions, and guest lectures, to enhance student engagement. Work closely with the principal and department head to address student performance trends and recommend improvements in teaching strategies.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare and review annual progress reports for students, documenting their academic growth and areas needing attention. Organize and participate in departmental meetings to discuss teaching methodologies, resource allocation, and curriculum enhancements. Conduct periodic parent-teacher interactions to discuss student progress and collaborate on support strategies for individual learners.
Qualification and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Biology or a related field is mandatory. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential for this role. At least three years of teaching experience in high school or equivalent institutions is required. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position.
