Job Description
Gurukul International School invites applications for an NTT Evs Teacher role to join their dedicated team in Janjgir, Chhattisgarh. This position focuses on delivering engaging and impactful Environmental Studies (Evs) lessons aligned with school curriculum standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering awareness about sustainability, conservation, and eco-friendly practices among students.
Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct interactive Evs lessons covering topics like climate change, pollution, and biodiversity. Prepare engaging classroom activities, experiments, and field trips to enhance learning. Monitor student participation and provide constructive feedback during discussions and group work. Ensure students follow school rules while participating in outdoor Evs-related activities.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update lesson plans based on the latest curriculum guidelines for Evs. Collaborate with the school’s science department to integrate Evs concepts with other subjects like science and social studies. Organize monthly Evs awareness campaigns, such as tree planting drives or cleanliness drives, in partnership with local communities. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress in Evs-related activities.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend school meetings to discuss Evs teaching strategies and share innovative methods with colleagues. Participate in training sessions organized by the school to improve teaching skills in environmental education. Prepare and submit periodic reports on student performance and classroom activities for review by the school management.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with at least two years of teaching experience in schools. Possession of TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. A graduate degree in science, environmental studies, or related fields is essential. Strong communication skills and a passion for environmental education are highly valued.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary ranging from Rs.16,000 to Rs.30,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
