Key Responsibilities
The Receptionist will be the first point of contact for parents, students and visitors at Gurukul International School | Janjgir. Duties include answering telephone calls, managing the front desk, maintaining attendance registers, and coordinating with the administration office for smooth daily operations. Handling mail, courier services, and basic record‑keeping of student documents are part of the role. The incumbent will also assist in organising school events, maintaining visitor logs, and ensuring the reception area reflects the professional standards of the institution.
Additional responsibilities cover managing enquiries related to admissions, fee payments and school policies, directing queries to the appropriate department, and supporting the principal and senior staff with clerical tasks. The role requires occasional assistance in preparing notices, circulars and updating the school’s digital notice board.
Qualifications
A graduate degree is essential. Candidates should possess at least 3 years of experience in a similar front‑office or receptionist position, preferably within an educational setting. Good command of English and Hindi, proficiency in basic computer applications and telephone etiquette are mandatory. While TET/CTET are not required for this non‑teaching role, familiarity with school administrative procedures is advantageous.
