Role Introduction
Bjs Public School invites applications for a PGT Chemistry Teacher in Central Delhi, Delhi. The successful candidate will deliver engaging chemistry lessons to senior secondary students at our Chanakya Puri campus.
Daily Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom teaching of Chemistry for classes XI and XII, ensuring concepts are explained clearly and experiments are safely demonstrated.
- Prepare and set up laboratory work daily, checking chemicals and equipment for proper functioning.
- Assess student understanding through quizzes, oral questioning and immediate feedback during each class.
- Maintain discipline and a supportive learning environment throughout the school day.
Regular Responsibilities across the Academic Cycle
- Design and update lesson plans in line with NCERT syllabus and school curriculum for each term.
- Organize and supervise weekly laboratory sessions, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct periodic formative assessments and provide detailed progress reports to parents and senior staff.
- Collaborate with fellow science faculty for interdisciplinary projects and school science fairs.
Periodic Responsibilities
- Lead termly practical examinations and evaluate laboratory reports with accurate grading.
- Participate in annual staff development workshops and contribute to curriculum review committees.
- Coordinate chemistry-related extracurricular activities such as science clubs and inter‑school competitions.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Chemistry along with B.Ed or D.El.Ed. TET/CTET qualification is preferred. A minimum of three years of teaching experience in a recognized school is required.
Salary and Location
