PGT Home Science Teacher – East Delhi
Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct Home Science lessons for classes XI and XII, covering nutrition, textile, family resource management, child development and related practical modules.
- Prepare teaching aids, laboratory set‑ups and demonstration materials that align with the school’s curriculum.
- Assess student performance through assignments, projects, practical examinations and written tests; maintain accurate records of grades and attendance.
- Guide students in project work, exhibitions and competitions, encouraging application of theoretical concepts to everyday life.
- Provide remedial support and personalized feedback to students who need additional help.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to curriculum reviews and collaborate with colleagues from other streams for interdisciplinary activities.
- Supervise the Home Science lab, ensuring safety standards and proper maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and any concerns related to the subject.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in Home Science or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of four years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level (PGT).
- Demonstrated ability to manage practical sessions and evaluate student work in Home Science.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English and Hindi.
