Job Overview
Kala Niketan International School seeks an experienced and enthusiastic TGT Chemistry Teacher to join our faculty. As a Chemistry Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching the subject to students from classes 6 to 10, preparing lesson plans, and assessing student progress. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and participate in extracurricular activities that promote STEM education.
What You Will Do
- Teach Chemistry to students from classes 6 to 10, using a variety of methods to engage learners and promote deep understanding.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help students improve.
- Participate in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum development, share best practices, and address challenges.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement extracurricular activities that promote STEM education, such as science fairs and debates.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Chemistry education and incorporate innovative approaches into your teaching practice.
- Contribute to the school's community service initiatives, such as organizing science workshops for local schools and promoting environmental awareness.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and maintain open communication with parents to ensure that students receive the support they need.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field from a recognized university.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid TET or CTET certification (not mandatory, but preferred).
- At least 2 years of experience teaching Chemistry in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of Chemistry concepts and curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
