Qualifications include a postgraduate degree in Social Science with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution. Familiarity with digital teaching tools and platforms is essential. Experience in teaching Social Science at the secondary level is preferred. While TET or CTET certification is not mandatory, it is an added advantage.
Skills for the modern classroom include strong communication, classroom management, and digital literacy. Ability to create interactive lesson plans using PowerPoint, Canva, and online quiz tools is important. Patience, empathy, and a passion for making Social Science relatable to young learners are necessary.
