Responsibilities
At Tagore International School | Delhi, the PGT Botany Teacher will design and deliver advanced curriculum aligned with CBSE/ICSE standards. Daily tasks include conducting engaging lectures, lab demonstrations, and field studies to foster scientific curiosity among students. You will also prepare detailed lesson plans, assess student performance, and collaborate with the science department to integrate interdisciplinary learning.
The role demands hands-on experience in teaching botany at the senior secondary level, including topics like plant taxonomy, genetics, and environmental biology. You’ll be responsible for maintaining lab resources, supervising practical sessions, and ensuring compliance with school safety protocols. Additionally, you’ll participate in extracurricular activities like science fairs and inter-school competitions to enhance student engagement.
Qualification
To qualify for this PGT Botany Teacher position, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in Botany or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed or D.El.Ed) is mandatory for teaching roles. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role.
Experience
A minimum of four years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in high-quality school environments, particularly those with a focus on botany and plant sciences. Salary and Employment
