Throughout the academic cycle, the PGT Chemistry Teacher will assess students’ progress through quizzes, assignments, and periodic tests. You will maintain detailed records of student performance to guide further teaching strategies. Collaborating with the science department to align chemistry curriculum with national education standards is another key responsibility. Ensuring students meet the school’s academic benchmarks and fostering a love for science through extracurricular activities like science fairs and workshops will also be part of your role.
Periodically, the PGT Chemistry Teacher will participate in curriculum reviews to refine teaching methods based on student feedback and school policies. You will also conduct workshops for junior teachers to improve their chemistry teaching skills. Preparing and updating the school’s chemistry lab resources, including safety protocols and equipment maintenance, will be an ongoing commitment.
