About This Role
As a PGT Chemistry Teacher at Savanu International School, you will be responsible for teaching Chemistry to high school students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach Chemistry to high school students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop and implement assessments to measure student learning outcomes.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate with parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum changes.
- Conduct research and professional development to enhance teaching practice.
- Prepare and grade assignments and exams.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Develop and implement extracurricular activities related to Chemistry.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Postgraduate degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a high school setting.
- Strong knowledge of Chemistry curriculum and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
