Use Jolly Phonics resources, flashcards, and rhyme charts to build early literacy. Conduct weekly show-and-tell sessions where students speak simple sentences to improve fluency. Maintain a word wall in each classroom and introduce basic writing through guided tracing sheets.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare daily lesson plans aligned with the NTT English curriculum.
Introduce alphabets, sounds, and sight words through multisensory activities.
Conduct reading readiness circles with picture books and puppet shows.
Organize phonics drills and simple dictation exercises.
Assess students using oral tests and picture-based worksheets.
Collaborate with PT teachers to integrate English vocabulary in activity corners.
Maintain attendance registers and anecdotal records for each child.
Communicate progress to parents during informal meet-ups after class.
Required Qualifications
Graduation in any discipline with D.El.Ed or B.Ed.
Minimum 4 years of experience teaching English to pre-primary or NTT classes.
TET/CTET is not mandatory but will be preferred during selection.
