Job Description
Yuvashakti Model School in Rohini, North West Delhi, invites applications for an NTT Evs Teacher position. This role focuses on delivering engaging Environmental Studies (Evs) lessons aligned with school curriculum, fostering awareness of sustainability, biodiversity, and climate action among students. The NTT Evs Teacher will play a key role in shaping young minds through hands-on projects, field trips, and interactive discussions on local environmental issues.
The NTT Evs Teacher will design and implement lesson plans covering topics like waste management, renewable energy, conservation of natural resources, and eco-friendly practices. Daily classroom instruction must include visual aids, experiments, and real-world examples relevant to Delhi’s urban environment. Collaboration with school science teachers will ensure seamless integration of Evs with other subjects. Field visits to parks, farms, or recycling centers will be organized to reinforce classroom learning, and student participation in school events like Earth Day celebrations will be encouraged.
The teacher will also mentor students in organizing environmental clubs, leading workshops for younger grades, and maintaining up-to-date school records for Evs activities. Attention to student feedback will help refine teaching methods, ensuring engagement across diverse learning levels. The NTT Evs Teacher will represent Yuvashakti Model School at local environmental forums, sharing insights on sustainable practices with parents and community groups.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification are eligible. Three years of teaching experience, preferably in schools with a focus on environmental education, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an advantage. The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs.15,000 to Rs.32,000 per month, along with full-time employment at Yuvashakti Model School.
