Role Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced PGT History Teacher to join our faculty at St Angels School Rohini Delhi. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History to students in the 10th and 12th grades, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and contributing to the overall academic growth of our students.
Day-to-Day Duties
* Teach History to students in the 10th and 12th grades, using a range of teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
* Assess student progress and provide individualized feedback to improve student outcomes.
* Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum changes.
* Conduct unit assessments and exams to evaluate student understanding of historical concepts.
* Participate in department meetings to discuss teaching strategies and share best practices.
* Develop and implement extracurricular activities that promote historical awareness and appreciation.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Required Qualifications
* M.A./M.Com in History or related field from a recognized university.
* B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree from a recognized institution.
* CTET or TET certification (preferable).
* Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in History at the senior secondary level.
* Strong understanding of curriculum design and implementation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of Rs.45,000 - Rs.60,000 per month, depending on experience. The school also offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
