Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons to classes 6 to 10, ensuring alignment with the school curriculum and national educational standards.
Conduct daily warm‑up, skill development, and fitness sessions, using a variety of equipment and sports to cater to diverse student abilities.
Organise intra‑school and inter‑school competitions, coaching teams for district level meets, and coordinate event logistics.
Monitor and record students’ physical progress, attendance, and participation, preparing regular reports for parents and school administration.
Incorporate modern teaching aids such as video analysis, mobile apps, and interactive whiteboards to enhance learning outcomes.
Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical activities into interdisciplinary projects, promoting holistic education.
Maintain a safe and clean sports environment, inspecting equipment, ensuring proper use of facilities, and enforcing safety protocols during all activities.
Lead the school’s health and wellness initiatives, including first aid training, nutrition workshops, and stress‑management sessions for students and staff.
Mentor and supervise junior staff and student volunteers involved in sports clubs, providing guidance on coaching techniques and leadership skills.
Participate in professional development workshops, seminars, and coaching certification programmes to stay updated with contemporary Physical Education practices.
Qualification and Experience
Post‑graduate degree in Physical Education or related field is required. A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a school setting is essential.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification is mandatory, with TET/CTET preferred though not compulsory.
Strong knowledge of sports science, coaching methodologies, and student assessment techniques is expected.
Excellent communication, organisational, and motivational skills are necessary to inspire students and collaborate with colleagues.
Salary and Location
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from Rs.24,000 to Rs.40,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
