Appejay School | Panchsheel Park is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable PGT History Teacher to join its dynamic faculty in Sarita Vihar, South Delhi. This is a full-time position focused on delivering engaging history lessons that inspire students to explore India’s rich cultural and political heritage through age-appropriate, interactive methods.
Teaching duties include designing and delivering weekly history lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum, ensuring students grasp key historical concepts like ancient civilizations, colonial rule, and modern India’s growth. You will also prepare and assess student projects, quizzes, and exams to track progress effectively. Collaborating with the history department, you’ll contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, and student mentoring. Field trips and guest lectures on historical sites will be part of your role to bring lessons to life.
Appejay School values hands-on teaching methods, so you’ll create visual aids, use multimedia tools, and encourage critical thinking through debates and discussions. Maintaining parent-teacher interactions to share student achievements and areas for improvement is also essential. Your role will involve grading assignments, conducting parent-teacher meetings, and ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in history. Three years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in schools, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly beneficial.
