Daily Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging sociology lessons tailored to Class 11 and 12 students. Prepare interactive sessions that incorporate real-world examples, discussions, and group activities to foster critical thinking. Monitor student progress through regular assignments, quizzes, and participation assessments. Maintain a structured classroom environment while adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update lesson plans aligned with the CBSE curriculum, ensuring comprehensive coverage of sociological theories, research methods, and contemporary social dynamics. Collaborate with the subject coordinator to refine teaching strategies and assess the effectiveness of sociology programs. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum improvements and student performance trends. Guide students in research projects, field studies, or internships related to sociology to enhance practical learning.
Periodic Responsibilities
Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress, academic strengths, and areas needing improvement. Organize departmental workshops or guest lectures featuring experts in sociology to enrich student knowledge. Prepare and submit monthly progress reports for students, highlighting achievements and development areas.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Sociology with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. At least three years of teaching experience, preferably in a senior secondary school setting. Experience with TET/CTET certification is an asset but not mandatory. Strong command of English and Hindi is essential for effective communication with students and parents.
Salary and Location
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs.45,000 to Rs.85,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. The role is based in Defence Colony, South Delhi, in a vibrant educational institution dedicated to holistic student development.
