PGT Zoology Teacher Job in South Delhi, Delhi | School Recruitment
Responsibilities
The teacher will conduct PGT Zoology classes for classes XI and XII, preparing lesson plans aligned with NCERT syllabus. Classroom sessions will include practical labs, field trips to local parks and the school’s own garden, and regular assessments to track student progress. Interaction with parents during PTMs and coordination with the science department for interdisciplinary projects is expected.
Key duties also involve mentoring junior staff, updating teaching material with recent scientific developments, and participating in Cambridge School’s annual science fest and inter‑school competitions. The role demands maintaining laboratory safety standards and ensuring equipment is functional for each practical session.
Requirements
Minimum three years of teaching experience in Zoology at the senior secondary level is essential. Candidates must hold a post‑graduate degree in Zoology or a related science and possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of cellular biology, genetics, ecology and environmental science is required.
The applicant should demonstrate effective communication skills in English and Hindi, be comfortable using smart‑class technology, and have a track record of improving student results in board examinations. Experience in organizing extracurricular activities such as wildlife clubs or nature walks will be an added advantage.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from Rs.45,000 - Rs.85,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include transport allowance for the Defence Coloni area, medical coverage, and professional development support.
