Conducting daily language drills and interactive sessions to reinforce vocabulary and grammar is also part of the routine. Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate and explore their linguistic heritage.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle involve developing and updating the Sanskrit syllabus to meet Cambridge School’s educational standards. Collaborating with the subject coordinator to integrate Sanskrit content with other subjects, ensuring a holistic approach to learning. Organizing weekly review sessions to reinforce concepts taught, including recitation, composition, and translation exercises. Participating in departmental meetings to discuss teaching strategies and student progress.
Periodic responsibilities include conducting term-end assessments and evaluations to measure students’ progress in Sanskrit. Preparing progress reports and feedback for parents, highlighting students’ strengths and areas needing improvement. Attending school events and cultural programs where Sanskrit is featured, such as festivals, recitals, or inter-school competitions, to promote the subject’s relevance in daily life.
For the TGT Sanskrit Teacher position at Cambridge School, a postgraduate degree in Sanskrit or a related field is essential. A minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is required. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory.
