Incorporate modern teaching methods, such as project-based learning and multimedia tools, to enhance student engagement.
Curriculum and Assessment
Design and implement unit-wise assessments, including quizzes, essays, presentations, and oral exams, to evaluate students’ proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension. Review and update textbooks, workbooks, and supplementary materials to ensure relevance and effectiveness. Collaborate with the English department to refine the school’s language pedagogy and align it with national education frameworks.
Student Support and Mentorship
Act as a mentor to students, providing guidance on academic performance, language development, and career aspirations. Identify and support students with language barriers or learning challenges through targeted interventions. Foster a positive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves confidently in English.
Administrative and Coordination Roles
Coordinate with other English faculty members to ensure smooth implementation of departmental policies and initiatives. Attend faculty meetings to discuss curriculum updates, student progress, and professional development opportunities. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and participation in extracurricular activities related to English.
This position requires a postgraduate degree in English or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
