Job Description
Indraprastha International School in Dwarka, South West Delhi, seeks a dedicated PGT Geography Teacher to enrich the geography curriculum with engaging, research-based lessons. This role focuses on shaping students’ understanding of global and regional systems through hands-on activities, field trips, and interactive discussions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in teaching geography’s core concepts—physical geography, human-environment interactions, and geopolitical analysis—while fostering critical thinking and environmental awareness.
The position requires a postgraduate degree in Geography or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Responsibilities include designing lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum while incorporating modern teaching methods like project-based learning and multimedia presentations. You will lead field studies, organize guest lectures by environmental scientists, and collaborate with other subject teachers to create interdisciplinary units. Conducting parent-teacher meetings to discuss students’ progress and ensuring high standards of academic excellence are also key duties.
The role offers a competitive salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month, along with opportunities to contribute to the school’s dynamic academic community. Dwarka’s vibrant location provides easy access to educational resources, research institutions, and cultural events that can inspire your teaching approach. This position is ideal for someone passionate about geography education and eager to inspire the next generation of explorers and global thinkers.
