About This Role
Veer Public School invites experienced and dedicated subject-specialists for the position of TGT Social Science Teacher in Kapashera, South West Delhi, Delhi. This is a full-time teaching opportunity that requires a strong background in Social Science, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to student-centered learning.
Teaching Approach (Social Science Specific)
At Veer Public School, we adopt a student-centric approach to teaching Social Science. We encourage our TGT Social Science Teachers to incorporate practical methods, such as case studies, debates, and group discussions, into their lessons. This helps students develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Plan and deliver Social Science lessons to students of classes IX to XII
- Prepare and assess student assignments, projects, and exams
- Develop and maintain a well-stocked Social Science library
- Organize and conduct field trips and educational excursions
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the Social Science curriculum
- Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress
- Attend school events, meetings, and staff development programs
- Participate in staff training and professional development activities
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration
Eligibility Criteria (Social Science Specific)
- Post-graduate degree in Social Science (with specializations in History, Geography, Economics, or Political Science)
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution
- CTET or TET certification (not mandatory)
- 3 years of teaching experience in a recognized school or educational institution
- Proficiency in English and Hindi (with knowledge of local dialects an asset)
