Strategic Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Planning and delivering Mathematics lessons to students from class VI to X, tailoring the curriculum to meet the needs of students with varying learning abilities
* Developing and implementing engaging Mathematics activities and projects that cater to different learning styles
* Conducting assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding of Mathematics concepts
* Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives to improve Mathematics education
* Providing guidance and support to junior teachers in Mathematics departments
* Assisting the Head of Department (HOD) in planning and executing Mathematics curriculum
* Developing and maintaining relationships with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress
* Participating in school-wide initiatives to improve student outcomes
* Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance
* Contributing to the development of Mathematics curriculum and resources
* Collaborating with other departments to integrate Mathematics across the curriculum
* Leading professional development sessions for Mathematics teachers
* Participating in school events and activities to promote Mathematics education
What You Bring
The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field, with a B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. qualification. A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching Mathematics is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a CTET or TET certification.
